Every time a client asked us to build a website, the first question came right along: "what about the Instagram bio link?" The answer was always the same: "just use Linktree." Simple. Practical. Done.
But over time, that answer stopped being good enough.
The problem with "just use Linktree"
It's not that Linktree is bad. It's that it, like most alternatives, starts from an uncomfortable assumption: that organizing your links and understanding your audience are luxuries, not the bare minimum you'd expect from a tool like this.
URL shortening? Paid. Dynamic QR codes? Paid. Detailed analytics? Paid.
Knowing how many people clicked your link today, where they came from, which link they visited most: that's not premium. It's the baseline that any creator, entrepreneur, or professional should have access to without signing up for anything.
The model became a funnel where the free product exists to show you how much you'll eventually need to pay.
We wanted to build the opposite of that.
What is Link by PZX
Link by PZX is a complete digital presence toolkit: a fully customizable bio link page, an unlimited and dynamic URL shortener, dynamic QR codes, and real-time analytics. All in an app available for iOS and Android.
The premise is straightforward: everything that matters is free. No click limits, no link expiration, no hidden charges.
The only paid plan is for those who want white label: removing the PZX brand from their links and using a custom domain. That's it. The core experience has no asterisk.
Some product decisions we're proud of
Dynamic links and QR codes. Both shortened links and QR codes have editable destinations: when the URL changes, you update it without creating a new one and without losing history. Printed flyer, link already distributed, QR code already live: you update the destination and move on.
Analytics without friction. Every link comes with built-in metrics from the start. No need to connect an external tool or manually copy and paste parameters. You see clicks, unique visitors, click-through rate, and average time in real time, right in the app.
Weekly email reports. Not everyone lives in the dashboard. Once a week, you get a summary of everything that happened with your links, without needing to open the app.
Performance as a requirement, not a feature. Global CDN, 99.9% uptime. A bio link that goes down is a lost audience. That's not a feature, it's an obligation.
Why PZX built this
The motivation isn't noble: we wanted a product that would market PZX without us having to pay for it.
A bio link is one of the most visible assets on the internet. It sits on profiles, appears in bios, gets shared in stories, printed on flyers. If someone with an audience uses Link, pzx.link/theirname shows up for everyone who visits their profile. With enough adoption, the PZX brand starts appearing in places we'd never be able to buy space.
It's a model that only works if the product is genuinely good. Nobody keeps a bad link in their bio. So the business incentive and the product incentive point in the same direction: build something people want to use, for free, without friction.
What's coming
What we're launching today is the foundation. The roadmap is already moving:
Detailed analytics. Data has been collected from day one. We're validating the best way to surface it in a way that's actually useful, not just a dashboard full of numbers.
New link types. PDF, Maps, Video, Playlist — each with the right presentation for the right context.
New display formats. Grid highlights, thumbnails on all links. Your bio starts looking less like a list and more like a showcase.
Multiple accounts with a switcher. For anyone managing more than one profile, whether a creator with separate projects or an agency with a full client roster.
Link collections. Group, organize, and present sets of links with context. Less scrolling, more clarity.
Custom forms. Capture leads, responses, and contacts directly from your bio, without redirecting to a third-party tool.
